All meetings take place in Chaddesley Corbett Village Hall at 7.30pm

January - December 2020

5th FEBRUARY - Stanley Baldwin by Chris Gait (Please note - there is no meeting in January 2020)
Stanley Baldwin was born at Lower park House Bewdley He was 3 times Prime Minister between 1923 and 1947 - our local man for a crisis.

4th MARCH – Morton Hall Gardens by Harry Green
Morton Hall enjoys breath-taking views over the Worcestershire countryside. Head gardener, Harry Green, will tell us all about it’s wonderful gardens.

1st APRIL – Botswana Botswana by Lindsey Bucknor
Born in the Black Country Lindsey has a passion for photography; he will be talking about his visit to Botswana and showing us his wonderful images of that country.

6th MAY - Annual Meeting & Resolutions
Our theme for the evening is “Victory in Europe” to commemorate 75 years since the end of the War in Europe on 8th May 1945.

3rd JUNE – One Hundred Years of Fashion by Hannah Marshall
Hannah’s talk will be followed by our own Fashion Show through the Decades - models required!

1st JULY – Discover History – The 1950s by Paul Harding
Paul concentrates on providing historical accuracy and authenticity through demonstrating the personal lives of how our ancestors lived, worked and enjoyed their pastimes.
Competition: A pretty cup and saucer

5th AUGUST – Illustrated Talk by Van Greaves
Van is a local man who travels the world taking beautiful photographs and then sets them to beautiful music with a commentary.

2nd SEPTEMBER – The Titterstone Clee Hills by Alf Jenkins MBE
A Shropshire lad born on the Titterstone Clee Hills, Alf will tell us about the industrial history, social life and dialect of these South Shropshire Hills.

7th OCTOBER – Lipstick and Lies by Rose Cook-Monk
The intriguing story of Coco Chanel. Her signature scent, Chanel No 5 has become an iconic product - fashion icon, feminist and German spy?

4th NOVEMBER – Centenary Birthday Meeting – Party Night
Join us to celebrate our 100th Birthday with Songs from 20s to 60s with the Ukulele Band.
Competition: Dress up and wear something sparkly

2nd DECEMBER – Murder Mystery Evening
The Performing Arts Group of the Federation will re-enact a Murder Mystery so come along and find out ‘Whodunnit’. An excellent start to the Christmas Festivities.
